Steriliser at Richmond out of service
The bench-top steriliser at the Richmond training salon failed cycle 1142 and is tagged out until the service technician has validated it. Until then all semi-critical instruments from Richmond must be pouched, labelled and taken to South Yarra for reprocessing at the end of each session. Do not remove the tag. Council inspection, Geelong barbershop
The council environmental health officer will inspect the Geelong site on Tuesday 22 September. Please make sure your station is clean, your sharps container is below the line, the steriliser log is up to date and safety data sheets are in the red folder. The officer will speak to staff on the floor, so answer honestly and refer questions about records to Jordan.

Spring campaign launches 1 October
Look good, feel better returns this spring with a gloss and treatment offer, a beard and grooming package in Geelong and a skin program bundle in the clinic. Product training with the supplier runs on 24 September at South Yarra. All stylists and therapists working chemical services during the campaign must have a current chemical handling record on the training matrix.

Redo services and client feedback
August redo services were 1.2 percent of colour visits, mostly toner fade within the first week. Please talk through home care and the correct shampoo with every colour client and record the retail recommendation on the card. Mystery shopper scores for greeting and gowning were strong at all three sites.

First aid refresher and new health and safety representative
The first aid refresher for wardens and first aiders runs on 30 September at Richmond. Several certificates expired in August and those staff must not be rostered as the shift first aider until renewed. Nominations for the South Yarra health and safety representative close on 18 September. Speak to Hannah Blackwood to nominate.
