The situation

What has happened

It is Tuesday 15 September and the Client Services Coordinator is at the Geelong site. You are opening South Yarra alone for the first hour and running the front desk until 1:00 pm. The appointment book shows a foils client at 9:00 am who has a patch test on file, a brow tint client who is a new client with a pending patch test, a restyle client who needs a consultation before the stylist arrives, and a bridal party enquiry expected by phone. The float has to be counted and signed, the opening checklist completed, and every client greeted, gowned and prepared before their stylist or therapist is ready.

Your brief. Open the site to procedure, prepare and record the morning clients, take a bridal enquiry booking with a deposit, and hand over a signed opening checklist and an accurate appointment book at 1:00 pm.

What to look for

Evidence guide

Look for the opening steps completed in the sequence set by the procedure, an accurate float record, correct status changes in the appointment book, and evidence the student identified the pending patch test before the tint service. The handover note must be factual and the deposit booking must follow the privacy policy on capturing client details. Observe the greeting and gowning if the assessment is run live.

The student's evidence summary lists every record they created or changed in the systems named above, their notes and the tasks they ticked. Verify it against the deliverables and your own assessment tool.
