Run the September stocktake and update the hazardous chemicals register
You are the Retail and Stock Assistant working with the Retail and Stock Coordinator.
What has happened
The September stocktake for South Yarra is due on Friday 18 September. Every colour bar and clinic dispensary line must be counted and the on-hand quantities updated in the stock register, with anything below its reorder point flagged for ordering before the spring campaign begins on 1 October. The Hazardous Chemicals Register requires a safety data sheet less than five years old for every hazardous product. The register shows a lactic acid peel with a sheet from 2022 and a discontinued keratin treatment with a sheet from 2020 that must not be on the shelf. The Retail and Stock Coordinator also wants the retail counter checked for expiry and rotation.

Evidence guide
Check the stock register updates are complete and arithmetically correct, reorder flags follow the reorder point rule and the safety data sheet review applies the five year rule to every hazardous line. The discontinued product must be confirmed gone and documented. Look for the student distinguishing between a variance to investigate and a simple reorder, and for hazards logged rather than ignored.
